Hudson Valley Green Builders, Inc. is a company focused on creating high performance buildings that are energy efficient, comfortable and safe.  Whether we are building them or renovating them. 

Hudson Valley Green Builders, Inc. was established in February of 2006 but, it was born out of A.S.K. Contracting, a family owned and operated business, established in 1985 and based on the principles of excellence, integrity, ethical conduct and professionalism.  The original company focus shifted several years ago to high performance, super energy efficient, sustainable homes, so we decided the name of the company should reflect that shift.

Our Project Manager has over twenty eight years of field experience, in all phases of construction;  ICFs, framing, roofing, siding, interior and exterior trim, custom decks and porches, bathrooms, kitchens, restorations, custom carpentry (raised panels, multiple piece crown and baseboard work, etc.), new home construction and insurance work.  He is a Building Performance Institute (BPI) certified Building Analyst and a BPI certified Shell specialist.  He also has additional training in this field.

Our focus is to create net-zero energy buildings.  (Net-zero energy means that the building is on the grid but produces more energy (or the same amount of energy) then it uses.)  We currently have a home in Hyde Park that has achieved this and two more that we assisted with in Esopus that are expected to be net-zero.
